Why a Coalition to Save Wildlife
Governments have clearly shown that they will do little to save wildlife and their habitat. Environmental issues rarely feature in election campaigns. The majority of the electorate do not want to pay taxes that help to protect the environment , however there are millions of people who do care about the plight the planet is is.
Millions of people do care
Millions of people are doing great work to save wildlife, if many of these people unite in a coalition, a considerable force can be established to help wildlife. The Judith Eardley Save Wildlife Association (JESWA) has never had more than ten volunteers in its thirteen years of existence yet because of the backing from people who do care we have been able to reuse three million dollars for wildlife. Imagine if a million people united in a coalition how much could be achieved for wildlife and the environment.

The JESWA has been able to help wildlife because it reused and donated a good amount of money. This small organisation has provided more reserves in the past 13 years than has the State Government of Victoria.
The writing is on the wall but most people including politicians are looking away. This has been the case for centuries.
Listen to the writer Chektov in Uncle Vanya. Chektov died in 1904,
Man has been endorsed with reason and the power to create so that he can add to what he has been given. But up to now he hasn’t been a creator only a destroyer. Forests keep disappearing, rivers keep drying up, wildlife’s become extinct, the climates ruined and the land grows poorer and uglier every day.
Over a century earlier an Indian Chief, after seeing the destruction brought on the natural world by European settlement, stated,
Where are the buffalo, eagle and bear? Gone. Where are the forests, the wooded glades and the pure river that flow to the great waters? Gone. Where are the sounds of the birds? They are drowned out by the sound of your engines. I am just an Indian but I have noticed your world always takes everything the great spirit has given you. One day you will be sorry for this.
‘One day’ may be nearer than we think. It might be something some of us could have to confront within our own lifetime or perhaps it will be in our childrens time.
It is absolutely time to make a stand, join together and help save some wildlife and the environment. People who join the coalition will be asked to give $10 per annum. If we can’t give up the price of two cups of coffee once a year then there can be no hope for wildlife!
If we can’t give up the price of two cups of coffee once a year then there can be no hope for wildlife!
All members of the coalition will be links in a chain. There will be no heirarchy and no bureacracy. All money will be donated each year and every dollar will go to wildlife. This will be transparent as the name of members will be available, as will their donations. The administration costs will be borne by JESWA. If the Coalition to Save Wildlife succeeds it will do so by the power of giving.
If the Coalition to Save Wildlife succeeds it will do so by the power of giving.
Listen again to the centuries old words of an Indian Chief,
Most of the problems in the world are caused by selfish men. The Indian would give willingly with great reverence for we believed we never really owned anything. This is a principle your world would do well to follow.
It surely is time to stop taking and give back to the planet and all life therein.
We hope you become a link in the ever growing chain that the Coalition to Save Wildlife could become.
We hope you do it now. The future requires this. Our children require this.
And remember the collective sum of giving can achieve amazing results.
I have given my own personal views and of course people can view things differently and will wish to join the Coalition to Save Wildlife for their own reasons. The greater the width and depth of viewpoints the stronger the coalition will be.
